Robert F. Trager

Robert F. Trager is founding director of the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative at the University of Oxford and senior research fellow at the Blavatnik School of Government. A recognized expert in the international governance of emerging technologies, he regularly advises government and industry leaders. His award-winning research, including two books and many articles in leading social science journals, has been widely covered in press outlets from The New York Times to Foreign Affairs. He was previously professor of political science at the University of California, Los Angeles; taught at Yale University; and held an Olin Fellowship at Harvard University.
