Yoshua Bengio is a professor at the Université de Montréal and the founder of Mila, the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute. He co-directs the CIFAR Learning in Machines & Brains program and focuses on advancing deep learning and its applications, including natural language processing and computer vision. Bengio’s work has played a significant role in the development of deep neural networks, earning him the Association for Computing Machinery's 2018 A.M. Turing Award, alongside Geoffrey Hinton and Yann LeCun, for contributions that have shaped modern artificial intelligence research.
